That’s right, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for!
Tomorrow we are gathering again to release twelve hours of non-stop worship from the Upper Room of Gladstones Café, 18 Slater Street, L1 4BS.
Why do we bother? Because Jesus is worthy! This is the anthem of the saints and angels in heaven, who sing night and day without ceasing “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!” (Rev. 5:12; 5:9; 4:11). And it’s the personal revelation that Jesus’ love led to Him laying down His life — for me! — that compels us to worship “with joy unspeakable filled with glory” (1 Peter 1:8).
If you can only come for a couple of hours, then come at 9.30pm, because this time — as the worship upstairs continues — we will be partnering with some evangelists from St James In The City, and obeying Jesus’ commission to “Go to the streets and invite to the wedding feast as many as you can find!” (Matthew 22:9).
If you’ve never done any evangelism before (whether on the streets or in other, perhaps more natural, ways) then this is a great opportunity to learn! After all, there are few things simpler than offering a hot drink to a thirsty person on a cold night! And now we can no longer leave the task of sharing the gospel message to the likes of Billy Graham, the rest of us are going to have to step up our game…
